Ballet Shoes

Did you ever hear the story about how Trixie got her name? Mom was reading the whole of the Trixie Belden series at the time. We think she was pretty lucky, 'cause after that she read Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfeild, and Trixie could have been named Posy Fossil!

Oh, and the name Trixie means gift from God.

P.S. And very importantly, please come home Mao and also Annie! See sidebar on the right.

Two-legs used to do ballet, but, being a dog, I never understood it much. Thanks for coming to my party last month. I have a little something for you, so please stop by.

My Mommie read the Trixie Beldon books, too! Trixie, you look very cute in that tutu.

Well poser would have been ok as long as it didn't get changed to poser. Don't know about the fossil though.
We hope Annie and Mao get home safely very soon, and are sending them guiding purrs.

Posy Fossil? Nope. But a name that means 'gift from God' is perfect for you, Trixie!

Well Trixie, we think you won out there - we like you as Trixie, but have definite reservations about Posy Fossil. Our Mum says that she read Trixie Beldon books too.

By the way, that is a nice photo of you Trixie, even if you name is NOT Posy.

Thanks for the award +++. Second one within a week. Does it mean I am s smart kitty?

Trixie, I am so glad you got this name instead. Not that there is anything SERIOUSLY wrong with the other........ Ummmm, unusual anyway. Yeah, yeah, stick with Trixie.

You look good in tutu! SS used to do ballet when she was younger and still goes to classes when she feels enthusiastic enough but doesn't do point anymore. One day if she is nasty to me I'll post one of her pics up in ballet gear! *snigger*

We hope Mao and Annie get home safely soon!

And here I always thought Trixie meant someone who plays tricks.
