I am actually one of three girls. People think Tigger and I are boys sometimes, because we are BOISTEROUS! Everyone knows Trixie is a girl, because - well, she's SUCH a girl! Tigger and I never mind at all whatever people think we are, 'cause we really like boys and some of our best friends are boys. Oh, and I am turning one on the second of February.
CHORUS
We are family
I got all my sisters with me
We are family
Get up everybody and sing
We are family
I got all my sisters with me
We are family
Get up everybody and sing...

Three new things about me!
A new Meme - and it's all about me! I'm the important one. I won't say why - Yao-lin knows.
OK, what's new with me? Well, I'm turning ONE! Woo hoo am I excited! We will all get to eat big grown up cat Science Diet cat cereal now, the other two cats have eaten kitten food with me since I arrived 'cause - it's all about ME! (I'm SO important.)
What else is new with me? I've been locked up in Her room with the other two all day and will be again tomorrow, as the workmen are here repairing the old side and back porches.
And lastly, my legs have got longer now that I am a big cat. But the rest of me hasn't grown all that much. I am still the smallest and my face is a quarter the size of Trixie's. Oh, and I ate a fly. She wouldn't let me eat the second one I caught - she was mean and flushed it.
I tag Momo and Charlotte! C'mon you two girls, tell us three things that are new with you!
And look, here's a beautiful picture of me that Zoolatry made me a little while back.

A new Zoolatry picture to make our day
For our furrever friends
down under...
we don't get snow,
you don't get snow
(at least we don't think you do...)
but it's fun to stay warm
together in the snow.
- From Maggy and Zoey at Zoolatry.
We can see Maggy and Zoey and Pyewacket and Trixie and a visitor! It's the Torcello cat from the island next to Venice!

Memes - we got tagged by three friends
And after we have had our coffee, we shall write them!
Firstly, Tybalt and Mickey tagged me for: What three things would you do that you have never done before, if you knew you wouldn't get caught, get in trouble, or suffer any consequences?
I think I would wear mom's pearl necklace. After all, we all know that pearls increase their luster when they are worn very frequently.
I would like to have a tea party and invite Miss Peach and some other close friends and we could use Gran's Colclough tea service in pale pink and pale blue with the gold trim. It's on the shelf up above the four little teapots I am allowed to play with.
I want to play with a dragonfly.
We tag Derby and Precious from the Piney Woods Cats.
Then Scout tagged me for the seven random things about me Meme.
My seven random things today are... Nope, I'm waiting for mom to finish her cappuccino and I'm napping really hard!
Sing with me while we wait... (to the song "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to").
"It's my meme and I'll do it when I want to,
Do it when I want to,
Do it when I want to,
You'd do it too, if it happened to you!"
- Well, I like to play tea party all my myself and I have my own set of four miniature teapots shaped like a tomato, an orange, an eggplant and a cauliflower.
- I'm turning one and I have just sat for my first birthday portrait.
- I want to know exactly what is behind all of the paintings on the walls, especially the really big one. When I whap it to make it move so I can see behind it, it makes a really good noise.
- I like boiled egg. Well just the yolk.
- My favorite toy is the DVD player. If she picks up the clicker, I'm straight over in front of it, quick as a flash.
- I love to be very lightly zoom groomed. And patted everywhere, including my tum.
- My aim in life is to have a scratching post that reaches to the sky!
Do you know, I will tag some friends for these tomorrow. We have to go and read our Harry Potter book now.
We are on Harry Potter four! And we tag... Cobalt and Wrigley and Abby.

"Who is it who keeps taking my little things?"
Do you know that quote from The Borrowers by Mary Norton? It's one of my all time favorites. I collect and also teach children's literature. I also read it a lot.
Pyewacket was up in the hutch again last night. The tomato teapot lid was on the carpet and the teapot itself was hidden behind the Lilliput Lane cottage. For the first time, all of the other teapots were knocked over. They were all pushed into the groove where the plates stand up. She normally just plays tea parties with one of the lids.
I'm actually glad that someone is enjoying playing with the miniature teapots.
No one has ever played with them before now.

Wasn't me - didn't do it!
Dear Mazie Grace,
Life is unfair.
When the boys were little She got them a set of four miniature teapots shaped like vegetables that are half an inch high. During the night, SOMEONE who I don't know who it is, someone who can climb and isn't fat and doesn't have tiny little legs, and someone who isn't old and just sleeps all the time - gets one of the lids from a teapot and puts it down on the carpet. This happens all the time.
This isn't me up in the hutch - Limoges to the left of me, Capodimonte to the right. I'm not touching the Wade figures! This is one of the Wicked Triplet Siameses - it's either Sky High or Mai Tai. Whoever it is, it isn't me, Pye.
And there's only one little Limoges knocked over, I don't know why there is a fuss! Much ado about nothing, I tell you.
From your friend,
Pyewacket
P.S. This is a real photo, one of a series of two.
Here is a close up and the next close up shows the little teapot with its lid off, with the Capodimonte on the left and the Lilliput Lane cottage on the right and the teapots in the center.

Awards just for ME!
Yao-lin, who I really look up to, gave me awards all for me! The first is the Thinking Bloggers award. Um, why are the other cats laughing? I think. Everytime I have my ears pointing backwards and my tongue sticking out, it's NOT becasue I hit my head on something, it's because I am thinking really hard!
Here are the rules for the Thinking Blogger award:
1. You must write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think.
2. Acknowledge this post.
3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote.
4. Go tell your humans to fork over the treats!
I would like to nominate:
The Piney Woods Cats, Casey, Meezer Diva, Fat Eric, Derby and Kitty Limericks!
Now, hold on while I run around over the top of the pool table 'cause I am just too over excited. There's ANOTHER award!
This one is the "You Make My Day Award" which is presented to bloggers whose blog brings you happiness and inspiration and makes you feel happy about Blogland. The rules are to pass the award along to up to 10 people. I should like to pass this award on to:
The Meowers from Missouri, Diva Kitty and the Fluffies, Charlotte, Camies Kitties, and DaisyMae Maus.

Ballet Shoes
Did you ever hear the story about how Trixie got her name? Mom was reading the whole of the Trixie Belden series at the time. We think she was pretty lucky, 'cause after that she read Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfeild, and Trixie could have been named Posy Fossil!
Oh, and the name Trixie means gift from God.
P.S. And very importantly, please come home Mao and also Annie! See sidebar on the right.

The Thinking Blogger's Award
Java has kindly given us this award. We are deeply honored and wish to pass it on to some other bloggers who not only amuse and entertain us, sometimes making our day - but also, who make us stop and think. There are many actually, but the first ones who come to mind are:
Momo, Zoolatry, Mickey, and the Mosaic Cats.

We got a special award
Our lovely friends Yao-lin and Mickey have awarded this beautiful award to us. We are very grateful.
This award was created by Colin and the rule for this award is that you link back to Colin as the point of origin of the award.
I would like to pass this along to:
Poppy Q and Tyler and Kali and lovely Momo.
STOP PRESS:
We just had to drop everything and go get the camera. Look who is trying to be very good now? She put herself in the corner. Ohhhh!
And just half an hour later...

I'm in trouble now
I have apparently hissed at Pyewacket once too often and now I am in BIG trouble. Um, I have to go to time out. If you have a corner I can sit in for a while can you please call me?
*spit!*
P.S. You see, my mom can't put me in time out herself, she loves me too much and nearly cries when I am so bad to Pye. She usually just picks me up and cuddles me, but I did it once too often this morning.

Seven Weird Things About Pyewacket
I was tagged by Gypsy for the Seven Weird Facts About You meme. The rules are: Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. Share seven random weird facts about yourself. Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog. We would like to tag... h'mmm, we would like to tag Derby and Java and Beezer and Vincent and Mike.
1. My name! I was called after an imp who was a witch's familiar in 1644 in the town of Maningtree, Essex in the UK. We wonder what I would have turned out like if I had been called... Lazy Susan. The breeder went dead silent when she was told my new name. Wonder why? *snigger*
2. I come when I'm called - I come RUNNING!
3. My aim in life is to see exactly what She has hidden behind all the paintings on the wall. When I whap at them, I get a really good result. *snort*
4. I don't sleep much, I'm far too busy.
5. I'm not madly jealous about mom, like Trixie is. I'm happy to share.
6. I'm exceptionally quiet, demure and well behaved. *snorkle* *gurgle* *choke*
7. My favorite toy is the DVD player. I can hear her press the open button from four rooms away!

Seven weird things about Trixie
Mrs. Lilly White tagged me for a Meme. I've never been tagged for a Meme before. After I've come out from under the bed, I might think about it.
The rules are: Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. Share seven random weird facts about yourself. Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
I thank her for tagging me and I tag Momo and Sassy and Jimmy Joe. Oh dear, little girls can't count up to seven.
1. No way José is anyone going to kiss me on my head. Do I LOOK like Tigger who reaches up her face to have it kissed?
2. I am not actually a cat at all, I'm a little girl. A very girly girl. Again, do I LOOK like Tigger?
3. I never did meow, I have a rusty, husky, croaky squeak.
4. I made mom buy a new lounge suite with very wide backs and arms 'cause the old one was too narrow for NORMAL SIZED cats (the fact that it was over 30 years old had nothing to do with it.)
5. I run as fast as my short little legs can take me to check out all of the food dishes before the other two cats can get to them. It's my job, I am the food quality control cat. I take pride in my work.
6. I own a boy, but I have to sleep on my mother's spare pillow - and on top of the quilt not under it like some Siamese I know. Do I LOOK like Pyewacket?
7. I'm so brave that I'm not afraid of anything. What was THAT? Did you HEAR something? I saw something move out of the corner of my eye - can you get up and see what it is? Did that bed sheet move? It moved! I SAW it move!
Say did you know, I'm going to be a ballerina when I grow up.
P.S. The lovely folks at The Furry Bambinos gave us a beaut award! You can see it over on the right. They are so kind.

Trixie made a new best friend
Trixie is only four, so she's not allowed to have "boyfriends" but she would like to share a photo of her new "best friend" that she made over the Christmas holidays.
She and Pyewacket got their mom a superb cell phone charm from Artsy Crafty that was the hit of the day when it was opened! Everyone who sees it admires it. Trixie and Rocky have a lot in common. They are both very huggable and are not scared of anything, well, hardly anything. Rocky even sent over a Christmas card all the way from America!
Here's to a lovely friendship, may it grow and blossom for a very long time.
