A to Z of cat breeds

Come help my students play this game! It's on Pyewacket's Party - the daily doings of an IT classroom. If you want to play - and you know you want to - leave a comment on Pyewacket's Party with the next answer. I will update the list whenever there's a comment.

As Y was for Yao-lin, Z was for Zoolatry - according to clever Cheysuli and Gemini!

Current players are Victor, Daisy, Maggy and Zoey (who says C is for her as she is a cute cat), Parker, Wally, Ernie & Zoey, Mindy & Moe, Mickey, Tiki, Tavi, Cody, Camie and Miss Jade, Eric and Flynn, Derby, Alexi, Slinky, Marian...

Exotic Shorthair - The Exotic is a man-made breed resulting from the cross of Persians with American Shorthairs and other shorthaired cats. The Exotic's body and head-style match that of the Persian, but the breed was separated into its own category in the 1960s. The desired coat is dense, plush and stands away from the body due to the thick undercoat. Because outcrosses are regularly done to Persians, many long-haired kittens occur in Exotic litters. Some associations will register and show these cats as Persians. A bit livelier and more inquisitive than the Persian, Exotics share many of the Persian's gentler personality features.

We can't find any I's. we looked in several search engines (is that cheating?) The only one we could find said that the Manx cat was originally called the Isle of Man cat.
