Interesting evening at our house. 12.20am, Alessandro came into my room to get me, and woke me up and scared me, and when I yelled, he yelled. Trixie, our big, squishy black and white cat had a big huntsman bailed up.
While I was getting up, he came back in to hand me the squirming Siamese. We met in the darkened doorway and when I shrieked, he shrieked too, because we both scared each other. One should never try holding a squirming siamese, with no shirt on, while shrieking. He was very good, he didn't drop her, he placed her on the ground.
Ok, I very bravely went into the room next to the study where the spider was. Trixie was jumping up and down and stomping on it. Sumo wrestler style. THUMP! KAPOW! It was like a Batman movie. Holy cat whiskers!
So Alessandro is shrieking and waving a Baygon can, I am cowering and waving a Baygon can. The other two cats are cheering Trixie on and saying they would do it themselves, but really, as she is so good at it...
It was all over in a minute. Before he could get the cap off the can, I think the thing died of fright. Just as well. It picked the wrong house to wander into.

You go Trixie!!!
Trixie, you are one tough cookie! Your family is very lucky to have you around to keep them safe. I told Momma to file this as useful information, too: "One should never try holding a squirming siamese, with no shirt on, while shrieking." That is grate advice, buddies!
Your buddy, Jimmy Joe
Way to go, Trixie! You've got some metal in you, girl!
Onya Trixie - good thing for the beans that you were there to take charge! And we're sure that your sisters would have done an equally efficient job if needed - it's just we don't think the beans were up to dealing with the spider on their own. Great job protecting your home. That spider knew it was in deep trouble when it met 'tuff girl' Trixie.

Great job Trixie!!!!!
Wow, Trixie. Goo job. We think we would be afraid of spiders, and you go and stomp on it. Woohoo. You are our hero.

Nice kit and what you have done with it looks so simple. The gelato topic was just perfect.
