Trixie - why is she special?

How do we love her? Let us count the ways. :)

Trixie turned four recently. She arrived from the shelter for Alessandro's thirteenth birthday. Everyone told us to segregate her from the other two cats, Tigger and precious Persia (RIP) in case they caused a problem with her. Yes, but nobody told Trixie. She walked in and told everybody what for.

She has the personality of a little girl and acts like one, aged about three. Her collars are always pale pink. She is very feminine, talks in a rusty squeak and is very curious about everything in the house. She has lost three of her nine lives, one by crawling up into the roof after a kitchen renovation then having to be coaxed down way over on the the other side of the house, out of the laundry manhole.

Another time she fell off the back of fridge one night after sleeping on top of it and got wedged. She slept there all night and although I was in the kitchen at 6am getting a cup of tea, she didn't wake up and tell me she was stuck back there for another two hours.

I won't talk about the third time, let's just thank God for the elastic in her collar with the name tag attached.

She is really top cat - but then, that's what they all say!

Here are some kitten pictures from when she was new. Playing pool, then listening to words of wisdom from Tigger.

I just had to come back - your grand-dad was actually, really in the Sydney-Hobart race TWICE. Oh my cat! Did you hear that, SS???

*yes, yes, Momo*
SS - not sure why that kitty of mine is so excitable lately. She just goes off at the slight thing. Does overdose of ham and salmon do that to kitties????
